Best card of the Year

Thursday, 4 January, 2007

I’ve been sorting out our Christmas cards and thought I would put a picture of what has to be the best card we’ve had.

It’s from Hilary at work and was made by her children Ralph and Ellie. It’s possibly the best homemade card we’ve ever seen.

The tree in the centre is origami, and the best bit is the little metal star on the top.

Have a cool yule and all that!

Wishing everyone a happy holiday from me – in Paris!!

Not posting Paris pictures yet as I’m too tired each evening after ‘doing’ Paris – might stay in on Christmas Day and post some stuff but I doubt it as there is just too much to see and photograph!!

Love to all, here’s hoping for a better year next year. Sx

Christmas….

I’m off to London tomorrow, and then to Paris on Thursday – whoopieeee!

I hope to be able to blog my trip, and also access Flickr – but I might not have time as I’ll be out taking photos and wandering around!

I just wanted to thank everyone for the cards, and for the presents. As I’m away on Christmas day Colin and I have decided not to open our presents until I get back – in fact we are going to wait until New Years Eve.

The only pressie that I’ve had early was from Colin – a recordable DVD player! Mainly as I want to record Dr Who and Ruby in the Smoke over Christmas and the damn video recorder has broken!

I’ve got this evening to set it up and work out how to program it – Liz and I have just been to purchase DVDs – heavens it was so complicated, so many different types. Did I want DVD+RW, DVD-RW2, DVD-R, 1-4x, 1-8x or 1-16x – we think we got the right ones.

I certainly decided that we needed RW as it was a terrible waste (of money and resources) to get just R – and then throw them away when we’ve watched them.
