Another fantastic cartoon from Harold’s Planet

St John the Evangelist, Elkstone, Gloucestershire

For the final project of my Church Archaeology course as part of my Archaeology Degree I had to study and produce a complete history of a church of my choice – in my case St John the Evangelist, Elkstone, Gloucestershire.

Mum and I spent a number of lovely days together measuring both the inside and outside, and recording all the features of this beautiful little church.

As a suprise present for my birthday in 2002 she arranged for one of the art teachers at the school she worked at to do a line drawing of the church for me. The framed version is now hanging in my bedroom and I totally love it.

Whilst sorting through some books at Mum’s house I found the drawing reproduced here, obviously the artist did a number of sketches for Mum to choose from. This one is just fantastic
