Actually this piece of information is only useless to us individually, together the world could act on it but unfortunately most governments are too spineless to make the changes necessary.

The International Red Cross Disaster Report states that in the 1970s the number of people whose lives were affected by natural disasters was about 275,000. In the 1990s the figure jumped to 18 million (a 65-fold increase).

With only 12 minutes of the day left I realised that I hadn’t found a Useless Information for today – so today’s isn’t useless, it’s a piece of information that should make you think, and hopefully make you click on the ribbon and donate some money to the fight against AIDS.

Two thirds of all people with HIV live in Sub-Saharan Africa and three quarters of all AIDS deaths occur there.
